Shanghai International Asset Management (Hong Kong) Company Limited (“SIAM”) is a licensed corporation registered and regulated by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (“SFC”) to carry out regulated activities Type 4 (advising in securities) and Type 9 (asset management). SIAM has been licensed since 1993 and all its senior management officers are licensed responsible officers registered with the SFC to carry out regulated activities.

Licenses with SFC Regulations

SIAM is strictly regulated by the SFC with CE number ABR571. SIAM strives for excellent compliance standard and has obtained licenses to carry out regulated activities Type 4 (advising on securities) and Type 9 (asset management). With Type 4 license, SIAM is approved to give advice on securities and issue analyses or reports for the purposes of facilitating recipients of the analyses or reports to make decisions on acquiring or disposing securities. Under Type 9 license, SIAM is permitted to provide the service of managing a portfolio of securities and holding clients’ assets. SIAM also maintains a pool of qualified professionals who are registered with the SFC as Responsible Officers and licensed representatives to carry out the regulated activities.
